Why is it taking so long for my songs to download to my player using napster?

I have a iriver mp3 player

-2gig memory Brand new HP laptop

-Would I need to upgrade my firmware?

I dont think I have a virus. I do have virus protection since I bought my computer. I have 6 days remaining actually

- It is transferring very slowly and normally it doesnt do that
