HELP my computer is acting weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????

well i got on it today and everytime opens up a new tab it opens up double copies of that tab and when i huv multiple tabs open they all change to the current tab that i am looking at. the computer just started doing this today and i huv windows vista basic and plenty of virus protection. What's wrong with it??? is there anything i can do to fix this???

The first thing to do would be to scan it for everything. Scan for virus', spyware, and malware. Since you already have virus protection use whatever you already have to scan for virus'. Make sure you up date the definitions though for all of these. You can use Ad-Aware SE for the adware. Use Spybot Search %26 Destroy to scan for the spyware and malware. If that does not work then try updating your browser. If you use a browser other than Internet Explorer than uninstall your downloaded browser and try reinstalling it. If you use IE make sure to update it to IE7 and if that doesn't work you may try using a differant browser altogether. I would try using either Mozilla Firefox or Opera. Good Luck!

i would try running your virus protection , also download this computer cleaner called ccleaner. it seems to be a pretty good utility program. i would also use spybot search and destroy.
You can also try using system restore to an earlier date when everything worked. Start/accessories/system tools/system restore. The computer will restart after the restore - good luck!
yeah go back to XP, Vista is horrible especially Vista Basic
