How to speed up my computer + internet. 10 pts!!!?norton ghost
eh the internet i cant help you with but if you want to speed up your computer i have some stuff that can definetly help
1. seriously, if there is a lot of space being taken up on your computer by programmes you dont use, un-install them. they slow your comp down to no end.
2. This one speeds up beyond belief
go into control panel-%26gt; performance and maintenance-%26gt; click the option rearrange items on your hard disk to make programs run fast.
and a window called disk defragmenter will show up
click the defragment button and it will tidy up your hard drive efficently putting less strain on your computer and generaly speeding it up
:D

You could ditch NOrtON and replace with a free one which will help big time.

The only way to speed up internet is to subscribe to a faster service.
do you have dsl or dial up
the provider is important
you also have to clean up your computer, its will be faster and have go to store and buy high speed for you computer....
Like the last person said provider is importand. first internet if it is dial up then you can use a program that sppeds it up dsl is all about providers if you have one provider and it is slow try looking into satellite internet-type that into to google or if you live in a city see about wireless cards or a wireless box from Bell or Rogers For the pc try the deleting downloads instant speed up!!! Or you can just get a IT guy to speed it up for you REAL Speed up Also defraging it really messed up my old pc just to say
get rid of norton... instead use AVG. www.grisoft.com... norton taxes your system soooo much. and AVG is much better. and defragment, use disk cleanup, do you have vista? if so, go to the performance section of the windows and appearance... and turn aero for best performance, not best appearance. hope this helps.
um did you try turning it off and then back on? Most likely yes... then you should probably go to a computer store and see if you have a problem, my computer was like dial up a few months ago, we took it somewhere and they fixed it. Hope this helps!!!
Here is a site that might give you some pointers.

Might also want to delete those programs that you don't use, as that will free up disk space. Make sure you defragment after you delete and move files around.
