How to make home internet safe for kids ?

I wish to allow internet usage to my kids ( ages 14 and 11 ), but am disturbed how to safeguard them from nude and porno websites.

My kids computer has Win XP-Professiona installed, I have administrator password, and have created limited user accounts for both kids.

Should I be using some softwares like Cyber-Patrol, or Net-Nanny ? If yes then please advise which software is by far best ( though I understand that no software can give 100% protection ).

I don't know about any of that software, but I suggest that you put the computer in plain sight for the rest of the family. That will discourage them from using the computer inappropriately while you are at home, and will make it apparent when they use the computer. You might set aside a room strictly for computer use, and maintain a presence there too. Also, I think Internet Explorer has a content control system. Check the Internet Options dialog for that feature.

Kids are kids. You can have every website blocked but, no matter what, the Internet still won't be "safe" for them. They'll find something or their friends will send them something, rude people will expose them, and no software is on top of all the adult websites because they're being made every day in almost every language.
