ok, before my computer screws up anymore then it already has lol... what's the best FREE virus protection.... only answer if you have it yourself lol because if you dont know and just go off of the commercials and crap like that it doesnt work, i've tried it.

I dumped Nortons AV for AVG years ago. It rocks.
We have 25,000 computers at my work, and they all run the Network version of AVG...now thats PR.

You have a few options:
1) Check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) - the people you pay each month for Internet service. Just about every company these days provides free AV software. Normally, there is a link on the main website for your ISP called Security. Follow the directions there.
2) AVG is a great free AV program - after the initial 30 days trail, the "pro" features are disabled but the basic AV protection is still there and very good.
