Anyone know how to get rid of pop up system alert saying I have a virus.?

When i switch my computer on the homepage keeps coming up as internet security, system security warning. Can't get rid of it and a pop up at bottom which says system alert Trojan-Spy.win32mx which does a free scan when you go into it but tells you to purchase the software, but I already have AVG. Im not being conned into buying extra protection.

There are many free Anti-Viruses out there, just some aren't as good as others, though saying that I wouldn't recommend using two.

AVG - http://free.grisoft.com/filedir/inst/avg...

BitDefender* - http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/site/Downlo...

Avast!** - http://www.avast.com/eng/images/download...

AntiVIR - http://service.avira.com/freet/index.php...

I recommend using all these anti-viruses because I found them effective and easy to use.

* - You will have to fill in some details in order to use this product for free. But I recommend it.
