Should I deactivate these other security programs?

I have a new hp pavilion and the free 30 day norton pretoection just expired. I downloaded Norton 360 for a year long subscription. This computer has windows vista. I see windows defender, HP Advisor, HP Total Care on it and they all seem to be offering some kind of protection. Are they all going to be screaming at each other or do they work together? It looks like some people look down on Norton? I hope I didn't screw up here.

run the system configuration utilities using " msconfig " then deselct the services and start up which you dont want. It will not automatically start .. wait for your manual start.

Make sure you are not changing anything other tabs... all are system related ...

You should have only one virus protection on your computer and then you can have as many spyware and adware programs as you wish.

I use AVG for virus protection, along with spybot and yahoo anti spyware. My computer runs great and I'm while protected.

But if I were you I'd get rid of windows defender, the program is not what it used to be. Spybot works much better. I removed defender almost a year ago off my computer.
