there is infomercials on my computer and its just the voice

also my icons are all highlighted blue

plus my computer logs me out of the internet

if there's something that can delete it other than pay for virus protection then please help me

if you know any1 who has sky broad band you get a free years subscription with the virus software they give you but you need to register to get it but thats free lol... most people just click remind me later so they only get the basic stuff cause you need to download the updates =)...

You have to get virus protection. I reccomend Kasperky it is a free trial. Unfortuanetaly their is nothing you can delete your computer has already been infected too much. Both of these programs got rid of the 50 virus's off my friends computer. They are completely free! and free of malware

ok, so this security alert keeps popping up on my computer saying:

" YOur Computer is at risk in the following areas:

- virus protection out of date

open your Norton product to resolve these these issues"

NOw, i did open up NOrton but it says out of date..... And the thing WONT stop popping up even after i closed it. What should i do, please any suggestions will help.

The thing with Norton is its anti-virus module is good but when it comes to the firewall, it simply sucks.

The alert simply means your Norton anti-virus database is out of date and you need to update it over the internet. If you don't have internet connection on your PC, follow this link --%26gt; http://www.symantec.com/business/securit... %26lt;-- from some cyber-cafe or something and download the latest virus definations and install it into your PC.

If you paid for Norton, keep on using it until expiration, as its anti-virus system is reliable. But, if its an illegal (cracked) version, then go ahead and un-install it and replace it with either Kaspersky or NOD32.

Why does my computer think my DVD-writer is a CD-ROM drive??

I have had my computer for over a year. Ive used the DVD writer drive many times and with many different programs. I keep my computer up to date and have great virus protection and firewall. But recently for no reason, my computer reads the DVD-writer drive as just a CD-drive. I have tried updating, uninstalling reinstalling, system restore, etc etc. Im using the right disks, everything. Basically it just reads it wrong. I mostly use it to make DVD movies with Windows Movie Maker and never had a problem before. But now I receive an error message stating the disc format is not supported even though Ive used it before. When I look in Windows Explorer when there is no disk in there it identifies it as DVD-RW. But when I put the correct disk in it identifies it as CD-Drive. Yet when I copy one DVD onto another DVD it works fine! And on top of all this, when Ive finally just given up, it works again! It has a mind of its own. Any advice or solutions would be great!

Sounds like somthing might be wrong with the hardware itself. Try checking the manufacturer's website for solutions or if your computer is still under a warranty or a service contract, contact the computer manufacturer.

I need password protection. I work at a church?

and it seems that on the weekend, everyone uses the office computer. My secretary has believes someone is in-putting their tithes (in red font mind you) when she does not have an envelope as proof that that individual gave that much money on Sunday, and is admant that she did not put it in. Try a pen and paper to record who gave what and to whom. But why keep track of how much who gave and when? Does the more you give provide you a better ride to heaven?

Get rid of Word. Go with Corel WordPerfect and separate computer systems for general use and another for church business.

It means someone saw you naked and you have a package the size of an invalid. SEriously though, you may want to do a system restore that takes your computer back to where it was when you bought it. or go to Geek Squad or Firedog and let them clean it for you

Computer Virus Problem?

I think I'm having my first computer virus because all these advertisements for spyware software keep coming up. They even chnaged my background to a link that says click here for spyware protection and I can't figure out how to get rid of all this.

Now multiple windows with different styles of popups say it is from Microsoft security center. One i think downloaded VirusIsolator which even deleted my norton anti-virus software from the desktop. I can't even do system restore. Anyone have any ideas?
