Do I have a virus on my computer? My scan says that I'm clean, but I am not convinced.?

Yesterday I got back two emails that apparently bounced back, but that I never sent. I'm worried some kind of virus is making me spam people!

If it matters, it is an AOL email account, and McAfee virus protection (provided with the AOL service.)

What should I do?!

Try http://www.antivirusprotector.info

I am using that antivirus program. It works very well.

Just do a free scan. There are over 20,000,000 downloads by people in over 100 countries!

Try to update the Virus Definition in McAfee, and check for any virus. This problem wouldb be a behaviour of a spyware. Better scan with good anti-spyware software.

Its better to call AOL if you still have the problem.
If you think your account is in jeopardy, go to your AOL account and change your password.

If you log onto other places that may have your information you may want to update your account info by, changing your passwords frequently. It's not uncommon for someone to have phished your account (misleading you into a false site to steal your info).

Makes sure when you log onto your account, you look at your browser, if anything looks suspicious, you can always hit the refresh button to ensure your getting an official homepage site.

Good Luck
You can try this. Completely disable Macafe and download Avast and run it and see if it will find the virus. It's free btw.
1 anti-virus is not enough...I use 5 different Anti-virus/anti-malware and anti-spyware running all together and 2 pop-up/porn/adds/tracking cookies/site blockers...Now I'm safe..

Peace
if the scan says it's clean it probably is but if you downloaded somethin after then scan it again
