Calling on all you computer genius's!!?

I keep getting constant full page pop ups, things like low cost hotels and computer checks etc and its driving me bonkers!! How can I stop these from happening? I had norton protection the once but it made my computer SO slow I got rid of it!! Please help as my computer is too expensive to throw against the wall!! Thank you!

empty all your internet folders, get panda antispyware let it scan your computer delete the bgger that's in your computer. and than delete panda software cause it starts acting annoying trying to make you buy the program.

There might be better solutions available, but I installed the yahoo toolbar into my internet explorer. It has a built-in pop-up blocker. It doesn't pop everything, but it is better than any software i've ever bought or downloaded to use.
I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps.
Get a pop up blocker, and if you're using IE you should switch to Mozilla FireFox. And try cleaning out the adware using ad-aware (which you can find on downloads.com) or Spybot - Search%26Destroy (which you may also find there).
