Best way to tranfer everything from one laptop to another?

i plan on getting a new laptop in the near future, but i don't know alot about computers, so please tell me in a way i would understand. like how do i transfer my spyware and virus protection, also my documents and music, couple of games.

To transfer the programs you need the installers,from the CD or from a download you had..If those programs where installed in your laptop when you got it then use the software recovery Cd. To transfer your documents ,either burn them on a Cd,or use a jump drive.If they are too big in volume buy a crossover cable and connect the two computers to transfer the data.
