Will downloading songs from myspace give me viruses? Is it illegal?

I've downloaded songs from myspace before and was just wondering whether it's legal or not and if it will give me viruses. I have a up-to-date McAcfee virus/spyware/ etc. etc protection on my computer and I run virus scans regularly.

Downloading MySpace songs is completely 100% safe. because you are downloading them off the MySpace site directly they contain no viruses at all.

The real viruses coming from clicking on those bad spam bulletins that people keep posting. DONT CLICK!

i never heard of it, but i would say its save, some artist allow you to download a song or two so its legal or it was just some one else that uploaded it %26 yeah it would be illegal then

If the artist has put the songs up on Myspace then it's legal and you're probably safe. If someone other than the artist has put them up then it's probably illegal. In that case it becomes more dangerous, since they could have infected it and put the song up to get people to download their virus.

The only way to be 100% safe is to stick with 100% legal downloads, which usually means paying for them.
do you get viruses?? i dont know but is it Legal?? Definitely NO!! UPLOADING registered song like those of maria carey.. jennifer lopez and others is definitely illegal what more downloading it.. because i believe at the back of every cd's of cassette tapes that public exhibition and such is probihited which of course includes uploding it to myspace..
