How do I access the start up items on Windows XP?

My Computer is super slow I have ran clean up and defragmented and i have all of the latest protection. I also have plenty of disc space. I think that programs are being loaded automatically on start up and I want to remove the uneccessary ones.

The suggestions above will work, but a better program to use is CCleaner.exe. Not only does it remove old files, it will also clean the registry and allow you to delete any programs that are being started.

You can click start-----click run-----type msconfig------click startup tabs, then you can uncheck programes that dont need to run at startup. Then click ok to exist..And you also can go visit http://www.speed-up-your-pc.com/index.ph... to download a speedup software.
