Help with Computer?

Alright I've been trying too look for FREE spyware protection and things that would save my computer.

I acidentally downloaded something and I think it might have been spy ware. Now my computer goes all haywire and windows pop up.

Is there any FREE programs that will clean my computer. Because all the other ones I have found lets me scan my computer but then won't let me clean it without paying them like $50

you've probably been scanning with stuff that is adding MORE spyware to your machine...

SAS has a free version that seems quite good at http://www.superantispyware.com

also, Spybot Search and Destroy at http://www.safer-networking.org is free and legitimate.

ESET Nod32 antivirus has a free online-scan at http://www.eset.com/onlinescan that also detects and cleans spyware.

On the internet there is a program called "Trend Micro Housecall", it is a free scan and also it allows you to delete potential problems, viruses, spyware and malware. I use it often, and I believe it does a very good job.

Happened to me. Tried Adaware,Spybot Search and destroy and others but nothing helped. Save what you can and format your hard drive.
