it was full of spyware, and we bought spyware protection and deletion of it but when we tried to turn it on to put the software on it, it wouldn't turn on, it is a desktop computer, it shows it's on, but it just stays black, it is a 2005-2006 compact computer, any ideas will be nice, the light comes on, showing on, but it won't actually come on.............the computer is on, also, but i am not sure,
Our computer monitor will not turn on?nortan
Turn off your computer and unplug the monitor from the video card and plug it into the mother board video connector
re boot should fix it
Then do a system spy search virus scan then a Scan disk and lastly def rag.
any and all problems should be fixed
THEN
Reboot and check device manger to see if the video card you have installed is listed and in good working order It will tell you if it is not by a circle with a slash through it
Turn off the computer and reconnect the monitor to the video card and reboot
Our computer monitor will not turn on?noton
Hi. Boot into 'Safe mode' by tapping th F8 key during boot. If the monitor comes on (it will look weird )run your anti-malware software. If you do not have any, then download WindowsCare and run it several times until it finds no errors. Reboot. This may help.http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscare...
It could only be one of a few things, check the cables going to and from the monitor, you could have blow the ram that can cause the monitor not to work and check the video card or replace it, also try a monitor that you know works, just borrow one, it has to be one of these to give you this problem, this will help and good luck.
Before I have same problme in my Computer Monitor, I do the following and solve the problem. If you like do it.
1. Remove all connection and cable
2. Open CPU
3. Just remove RAM
4. Re-fix Ram and close CPU
5. Connect all cables and give power.
6. Re-start computer.
Best of luck
If it doesn't even come on when your computer first boots up, you need a new one
how did you write this then... oh well
try unplugging the power cable out of the back and then putting it back in. This always worked when mine did that.
sorry to say but u might have to get a new monitor
